FLORENCE, ITALY – ICCA, the main International Congress and Convention Association of the meeting industry, published the “2013 ICCA Country & city rankings”, a classification that measure the conference activities of cities and countries around the world.
The ranking, referring to data collected in 2013 and sent from convention bureaux and conference centers members of ICCA, considers the international conferences with more than 50 participants and are subject to the principle of rotation of the destinations from at least 3 different countries.
Excellent results for Florence which advances dramatically in the world ranking moving from 111th position in 2012 with 20 international conferences to 51st position in 2013 with 46 international conferences, doubling the previous year. In the ICCA city rankings Florence is 26th. In the pole positition we find Paris, followed by Vienna and Madrid.
