FLORENCE, ITALY – Thirty years for Raffaello Hotel (viale Morgagni), 4-star property belonging to the Cap group, since 2007 led by general manager Marco Vensi. On Monday afternoon the hotel celebrated its thirtieth birthday with a cocktail and live music in front of a Ferrari “Testarossa” 1984, running through the most significant moments in three decades of history in serving tourists and groups (especially the congressional field, with luminaries of medicine), but also many families arrived in Florence to bring their children to the nearby hospital Meyer. Not only geographical proximity: due to its close relationship with the world of children, the Raffaello Hotel has been able to create a “special” reputation, created with the participation in charitable initiatives such as the “Girotondo per il Meyer” and established over time until the creation of rooms using color therapy (rooms artfully recreated with colors and designs). Attention to social issues that earned to Hotel Raffaello the moral award “Meyer’s nest of angels”, and confirmed a prominent position already gained over the years as an hotel with small and big primates.

The hotel in viale Morgagni – the only 4-star in Careggi area, with 140 rooms – was in fact the first of its kind to introduce a series of technological innovations, as fax or computer management, as well as groupage senior level. In addition, in 2005, it was one of the first hotels to regulate fire alarms and since 2009 has a photovoltaic system that allows to apply the most competitive rates for some segments of market. “I feel very lucky – says with satisfaction Marco Vensi, trained in New York and London for nearly 10 years before returning to Florence – ‘cause I work with a cooperative society as the Cap, and I have the fortune to work directly with the president Luca Pieraccioli. I picked up the legacy of directors as important as Silvio Vezzosi , Vulmaro Boscherini or Gabbriello Torrigiani and have reached the milestone of thirty years of Raffaello is an incentive to offer a better service to our guests”.

General manager’s passion for acting and comedy (which led him to play as an actor in several regional productions , first I Toscanacci) has also led Raffaello hosting, since last year, the headquarters of the “Bottega della comicità” with the actor Gaetano Gennai, guest of honor of the 30 years’ party along with the president Aia Federalberghi Francesco Bechi, Giuseppe Gori and Luca Pieraccioli.
