Artimino holds “Salotti del Gusto”, the parlor of food excellences

FLORENCE, ITALY – On 25th and 26th April, the “Villa dai Cento Camini” (One Hundred Chimneys’s Villa) will open its gates to welcome thousands of gourmands from all over Italy, offering to wine enthusiasts a synthesis between history, art, nature and gastronomic Made in Italy: it’s “Salotti del Gusto” by Raffaella Corsi Bernini.

A bond inspired by a common focus on the excellence of our territory, which led organizers to choose the set of Artimino  Prato) as the venue of next event, after last stages in Alta Badia and Capri. There will be more than 100 tasting booths with 400 label from every italian region, as well as thematic labs on high-level products leaded by important chefs.  Guest will explore the estate on a fleet of Jeep, visit the Etruscan museum and participate in a suggestive truffle hunting; inside the villa it will take place also the literary salon, with special guest Davide Oldani, and the wellness one, as well as an area dedicated to the entertainment of children.

From the top of the hill overlooking the valley of Carmignano, in the green heart of Tuscany, the Medici Villa “La Ferdinanda” will host the event dedicated to the discovery of tastes and knowledge related to food and wine, in a great landscape and architecture frame, but also with strong historical and emotional meaning. An example is the ancient rotisserie, which still works, made with ropes and counterweights on the original design by Leonardo da Vinci.

For “Salotti del Gusto” the complex of Artimino will not represent only a location, even if beautiful, but it will give its contribution to the rich program of excellence bringing wine tasting in its entire range of 12 DOCG wines belonging to the Carmignano area: from pink “Vin Ruspo” to “Barco Reale” to the company’s flagship product , the “Grumarello”, they all are produced and vinified in what was once the hunting grounds of the Grand Duke of Tuscany, Ferdinando de ‘ Medici and today is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

“I chose Artimino – says Raffaella Corsi Bernini – because I believe it’s the ideal place to celebrate the taste of the Italian Renaissance . The Villa is located in the oldest wine district, Carmignano, the cradle of civilization Italian cuisine, and is surrounded by an estate of incomparable beauty”. Art, history and culture mingle in what Salotti del Gusto aims to make its point of reference in Italy for companies that express the identity of territory with attention to the quality and uniqueness”.

In the rooms where once the grand-ducal court lived – and where today weddings, meetings and international conferences are celebrated – cooking enthusiasts will be able to attend the “labs” leaded by prestigious chefs and sommeliers: Vito Mollica, Marco Stabile, Beatrice Segoni, Gilberto Rossi, Maria Probst, Luigi Ferraro, Massimo Livan, the world champion chocolatier David Comaschi, the world champion sommelier Luca Martini, just to name a few. From truffle to oil, eggs, cheeses, “Salotti del Gusto” will give space to large and small companies that stand out for identity and uniqueness of their products both from Tuscan and national territory.
