FLORENCE, ITALY – New York University Florence in collaboration with the Assessore of Youth Policies of the Comune di Firenze presents the sixth film series dedicated to Italian Cinema focusing on contemporary Italian Identity.
Cinema Giovane is an insightful way to study the evolution of Italian culture, history, and society. Cinema Giovane introduces students, both foreign and Italian, to contemporary topics present in Italian cinema and investigates these issues through the medium of film.
Films will be introduced by Prof. Vito Zagarrio, film director and Professor of Cinema at NYU Florence and Roma3, who will also show a short montage video about how the Italian elections were represented in the history of Italian film. After each film, a special guest speaker associated with each movie, will open a discussion with students.
