FLORENCE, ITALY – Ponte Vecchio International Approach Championship 2012 will happen again, and for the second consecutive year, Teams will face each other following 2011 appreciated format. 8 International Champions will be involved, from 14th to 16th December, representing Team UK and Team International.
IMC Group, the Organizing Company of the event, then reconfirms a successful formula, which has gained the consent of the public already in 2011, when the UK Team led by the well-known Irish player Michael Hoey has won, in the thrilling final challenge, against the International team captained by the great veteran of the modern golf, the German Bernhard Langer who was unable to put on his belt yet another medal among the many others of his career.
Programme
The challenge will take place on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th, in the morning.
During the first day, the 8 Champions will have at their disposal 10 golf ball each, to be thrown to three floating tees at different distances from Ponte Vecchio.

The first green, at 75m/80yds, corresponds to 4 points.
The second one, at 110m/120yds, corresponds to 7 points.
The third and last one, which is the farthest and the most difficult to reach, at 140m/150yds, is worth 10 points for each hole.
The same player may choose at his own discreption, and talking with the team mates, the tee, but he may not choose the same green more than four times.
On Sunday, the players of each team will be ranked according to the total points of the previous day. The winning player by Team International will be associated with the fourth player by Team UK, the second player byTeam International will be associated with the third team player by the UK, and so on.
