The best Tuscan wines back in Los Angeles

Red wineFLORENCE, ITALY – The best Italian wines back to California. And many of them come just from Florence and Tuscany. “Viva Vino LA” is a first-ever tasting event in Southern California which will offer an exceptional array of events for consumers and trade to experience Italian wines made with native grapes.

It is the biggest Italian event staged on the US west coast and will be held may 14-19, 2012 in Los Angeles, California. Presenting partners of the event are the Italy-America Chamber of C ommerce West, the North American Sommelier Association and the Italian Sommelier Association.

In the 2011 edition there were a lot of Tuscan wineriers: Antinori, Badia a Coltibuono, Badia di Morrona, Cantine Luciani, Cantine Nistri, Cantine Olivi, Casanova di Neri, Castello di Volpaia, Col D’Orcia, CrocianiFattoria dei Dolfi, Fattoria Fibbiano,Fattoria Viticcio, La Manella, La Regola, Marcampo, NardiOT, Wine Palagetto, Pieve de’ Pitti, Podere Le Poggiarelle, Poggio Romita, Rocca delle Macie, Sant’Agnese, San Leonino, Tenuta Cocci Grifoni Tenuta di Nozzole, Tenuta SettepontiTornesi, Torre a Cenaia, Tre Rose, Usiglian del Vescovo, Val di Suga.

“Viva vino LA” will involve a carefully selected group of restaurants and retailers that represent the best of Italian culture in the Los Angeles area. They will be intimately involved in the intensive week-long program dedicated to Italian native varietals. Dinners, lectures, tastings, seminars and extraordinary food events will be held at these key establishments – both for the knowledgeable public and the trade.
