“The National Energy Plan will mainly aim for solar power projects dedicated to the industrial and construction sectors. We must stop using farmlands for photovoltaic purposes. Fields must be used to grow tomatoes”, Environment Minister Corrado Clini said during his visit to company Power-One’s facility today. It was announced by the company in a statement.
“I’ve come here to Power-One to stress Italy’s need for renewable energy sources. The government and companies must work together to produce low-cost energy. Renewable energy sources must be accessible to everybody. We must invest in flexible technologies, research and development, as Power-One is doing “, the minister said.
