The Fifth Light – exhibition by Vlastimil Kosvanec The exhibition, organized thanks to the Province of Florence and presented by Museum Martinengo Villagana, Villachiara-Brescia, is produced in an Italian city for the first time. The exhibition project counts the presence of 36 works of the Boehmian artist Vlastimil Košvanec (Prague, 1887-1961) divided into five “rooms” of Palazzo Medici Riccardi in Florence.

Brian McFadden has got married after tying the knot with Irish DJ Vogue Williams in a unique ceremony at the Castello of Vincigliata, in the hills of Florence, Italy. Few days ago he tweeted: “I’m getting married today. #justsayin. Brian was born April 12, 1980 and he is an Irish singer-songwriter who rose to fame in the late 1990s as a member of the Irish boyband Westlife. He is now a judge on Australia’s Got Talent.

Piero Farulli died at 92. He was one of the protagonists of Italian musical life and founder of the School of Music of Fiesole (Florence, Italy), which has revealed the death. For 30 years he played the viola with the Italian Quartet, from 1977 Farulli resumed his activities violist with the Trio di Trieste and the Amadeus Quartet.

It is one of Florence’s more popular tradition: it is called la Rificolona and takes place on September 7. Coloured paper lanterns are on display in the city center, held by children very proud of them. You can find plenty of them in piazza Santissima Annunziata. ACF Fiorentina have signed 2006 World Cup winner Luca Toni in the last hours of the Serie A trading. The Tuscan team was looking for a new striker and the 35-year-old centre-forward was available on a free transfer. Toni, also linked with Spanish club Malaga this summer, recently left Al Nasr following his 2012 January switch from Juventus.
