FLORENCE, ITALY – All the signs read: “A Global Celebration of Fashion. The word celebration perfectly describes the evening.
On September 18th, 2012 Vogue’s world famous Fashion’s Night Out came to Florence, on its third and final stop of their fashion tour through Italy. The event visited both Milan and Rome earlier in the month.
During the event, the streets were flooded with beautiful people. Store windows came to life with fascinating displays. Attendees enjoyed free food and drinks, upbeat performances from live DJs, and sometimes a chance to meet the designers themselves. Music filled the streets as what seemed like almost everyone in town ventured out for a night filled with food, shopping, fun, and most importantly, fashion.
Stores stayed open past their regular store hours and invited guests to explore their establishments, which often featured exclusive products. Most stores had long lines, just to get in. People flocked to see the new fashion lines stores were promoting. The event highlighted high fashion brands, which in most cases came along with a high price tag. While most of the participating stores were the upper-scale brands, the event was still night for everyone.
Vogue’s Fashion Night Out brought fashion lovers together to celebrate their shared passion in a city know for great style. The event was truly a memorable experience.
