Kim Kardashian has once again put Florence in the global spotlight. The American celebrity, who had been spotted in the city center last August wearing a white dress and holding a bouquet of red roses, has now shared photos of her visit on social media.
The images show her in Piazza San Giovanni, with the Baptistery, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, and Giotto’s bell tower as the backdrop. She was also photographed walking along streets lined with the luxury boutiques that make Florence one of the world’s fashion capitals.
Florence is a place of special significance for Kardashian. In May 2014 she chose the city to celebrate her wedding to rapper Kanye West, a lavish and tightly secured ceremony at Forte Belvedere. The event became a viral phenomenon, with the photo of their kiss after the vows gathering more than two million likes and comments worldwide.
This summer’s return to Florence was part of a broader Italian trip that also included Rome. With her latest posts, Kardashian has reminded her followers of the timeless charm of the Tuscan capital, linking her personal story once again to a city already loved by millions of travelers.
