Heat Alert Returns in Florence: Orange Warning for June 24 and 25

The summer heat is back in Florence. A yellow-level heat alert has been issued for today, Monday, June 23, while orange alerts are in place for Tuesday, June 24, and Wednesday, June 25. The warnings come from the official heat-health bulletin published by the epidemiology department of the Lazio Region, as part of the national prevention and monitoring system coordinated by Italy’s Ministry of Health.

Today, the perceived maximum temperature is expected to reach 34°C (93°F), rising to 35°C (95°F) tomorrow and 36°C (97°F) on Wednesday. Nighttime temperatures are also increasing. While tonight should remain relatively cool at 18–19°C (64–66°F), minimum temperatures will rise to 21°C (70°F) by Wednesday night, according to forecasts from 3bmeteo.com.

Looking ahead, the heat is expected to intensify further over the coming weekend, with maximum daytime temperatures potentially climbing to 37–38°C (99–100°F) in the city. Residents and visitors are advised to take precautions, especially during the hottest hours of the day.
