Tuscany Joins Italian Rescue Mission to Earthquake-Hit Venezuela

A team of 41 Italian firefighters is due to leave for Venezuela on Friday following the recent earthquake.

Geologists and technicians from the University of Florence are carrying out surveys and monitoring activities in Sicily.

Florence has welcomed three young patients from Gaza as part of an Italian government humanitarian assistance program.

Initial checks carried out by emergency operations rooms found no damage to people or property.

The Regional Civil Protection Authority has issued a weather alert for Sunday, July 13, from 7 am to 1 pm.
