Florence will welcome 2026 with a night of live music and open-air performances across the city. The main New Year’s Eve concert will take place in Piazza Santa Croce, featuring a lineup of well-known Italian artists and broadcast live on Sky. The event, promoted by the Municipality of Florence and organised by the MUS.E foundation in collaboration with Sky, will run from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. and is free to attend.
The concert will include performances by Paola Iezzi, Tiromancino, Franco126, SARAFINE, LAYANA and TOMASI, with a DJ set by Lele Sacchi to open and close the evening. The show will be hosted by Leo Di Bello of Sky Sport and produced by Sky Content Factory.
Mayor Sara Funaro said the programme was designed to offer “a night of culture and celebration for all audiences”, combining major live acts with events of different musical styles across the city.
Other squares will host complementary performances. Piazza Santissima Annunziata will feature Gospel Symphony – Florence Sings the New Year, a concert by the Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina with the Pilgrims Gospel Choir and Light Gospel Choir, from 10:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. In Piazza del Carmine, Piazza del Carmine in Jazz, curated by the association Music Pool, will present the Nico Gori Young Lions and guest trumpeter Fabrizio Bosso from 10:30 p.m. to 12:45 a.m.
A light and video-mapping show, Florence Lights Up, will illuminate the façade of Palazzo Vecchio in Piazza della Signoria, including a midnight countdown projection to ring in the new year.
The city’s cultural department said the multi-venue programme aims to make the celebration inclusive, accessible and representative of Florence’s diverse musical scene. Admission to all events is free while space allows.
