On the occasion of the European Heritage Days 2025, the Uffizi Galleries will offer a special evening opening on Saturday, September 27. Visitors will be able to access the second floor of the museum for just €1 until 10:00 p.m.
The initiative allows residents and tourists alike to admire some of the world’s most iconic masterpieces at an exceptional price. Ticket sales for the evening begin at 6:50 p.m., with entry starting from 7:00 p.m. The last admission is scheduled for 8:30 p.m., and the galleries will close at 10:00 p.m. The regular ticket office, the first floor of the museum, and the temporary exhibition “Florence and Europe. Arts of the 18th Century” will instead close earlier at 6:30 p.m.
The following day, Sunday, September 28, more events are planned at Palazzo Pitti, including the opening of the mezzanine of the Treasury of the Grand Dukes (10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) and guided tours of the Duchess’s Apartment on the second floor.

Other events in Florence and Tuscany
Alongside the Uffizi and Palazzo Pitti, many cultural sites across Florence and Tuscany will join the European Heritage Days with extraordinary openings, guided tours, and special programs. These include the Opificio delle Pietre Dure, the Bargello Museums, the Forte di Belvedere, and more. The full list of initiatives can be found on the official website of the Ministry of Culture here.
Beyond Florence, the European Heritage Days 2025 will also animate other Tuscan cities. In Lucca, the State Library will present a special two-day program with exhibitions of rare texts and images dedicated to architecture, space, and memory. In the Maremma area, visitors can join guided walks through the Archaeological Park of Cosa in Ansedonia, exploring ancient Roman remains and local legends. Across the region, libraries, small museums, and historic sites will open their doors with exhibitions, tours, and special initiatives, offering a unique chance to discover Tuscany’s heritage in less-known but equally fascinating settings.
