FLORENCE, ITALY – Lost in Florence will be released nationwide by Orion Pictures (a division of MGM) on January 27, 2017. It will also be released that same day on VOD, on all digital platforms.
The movie with Brett Dalton, Alessandra Mastronardi, Alessandro Preziosi and Stana Katic is written and directed by Evan Oppenheimer.
Eric Lazard (Brett Dalton) is a heartbroken former college football star who gets in over his head with a dangerous Florentine sport and an alluring local woman, Stephanie (Alessandra Mastronardi), while visiting his cousin Anna (Stana Katic), who lives in Italy and teaches the Italian language to foreigners.
Originally titled The Tourist, filming took place on location in Florence, Italy for four weeks beginning 9 June 2014 and filming completed around July 10th 2014.
In 2016, two years after production, the film was picked up for distribution by Orion Pictures and Gunpowder & Sky, and is set to be released on January 27th 2017.
