VERONA, ITALY – Some 15 priceless paintings including an Andrea Mantegna, five Tintorettos and a Rubens were stolen from Verona’s Castelvecchio museum Friday November 20, 2015.
Mayor Flavio Tosi said the theft had been “commissioned”. Other artists whose works were robbed included Pisanello and Jacopo Bellini.
