Gianna Nannini new tour kicks off in Florence

FLORENCE, ITALY – Gianna Nannini’s new tour, which kicked off Monday night in Florence, Italy is a voyage in musical scores between songs of today and those of yesterday revised in her own special style.

On the stage, her biography was told in songs, but also in photo snapshots from the past, which moulded the Tuscan singer and which she re-cast in rock music for the album ‘Hitalia’. That has been re-spun now in a live version entitled ‘Hitalia.Rocks’, mixed in the programme with her timeless hits sung for the event with an electric quartet made up of Davide Tagliapietra, Peter Wrba, Alex Klier and Will Mendini.

The concert started with Lontano dagli occhi (Far from the eyes) and L’immensità (The enormity), then Un’avventura (An adventure), and Dedicato (Dedicated). She followed that with Dio è morto (God is dead), featured in a video filmed by Gaetano Morbioli, with distorted guitars and the Metro Voices choir, which was released only on Monday.
