FLORENCE, ITALY – Schools re-open in Tuscan epicentre seismic activity, but light earth quake tremors rippled through the Chianti wine-growing district of Tuscany on Monday December 22, 2014.
Some residents preferred to sleep outside: the strongest shock measuring 2.6 on the Richter scale was registered at 6:30 am but no major damage or injuries were reported by fire services.
Nevertheless reception centres where residents can take refuge if there are new tremors remained open. The area was struck by alarm on Friday when dozens of earthquakes hit it.
