FLORENCE, ITALY – Volainbus improves the service between Florence and the city airport located in Peretola, just outside the city.
Volainbus, the trasport service that connects the historic center of Florence with Peretola airport in only 20 minutes, added two new buses to its fleet.
In 2013 230,000 passengers were transported by Volainbus and this year showed a +20%.
From 1 June 2014, the service was enhanced with the four new routes and a longer coverage: the first departure is at 5:00 am and the last at 1:00 am, for a total of 70 trips a day.
The connection, run by North Busitalia Sita is open 7 days out of 7, every day of the year; the cost of one way ticket is equal to € 6.00, € 10.00 round trip.
Tickets can be purchased at the terminus of the Florence ticketing company Busitalia, at the airport terminal and the authorized outlets or on board with the exclusive sale of the one-way ticket at no extra charge.
Passengers arrived at the airport of Florence in 2013 shows an increase of 7.1%, arriving to two millions.
