FLORENCE, ITALY – Aggies Roll Past All-Star Italy, 93-46 in Florence, Italy.
Texas A&M will travel to Venice tomorrow and will play the third of a four-game tour on Thursday, Aug. 23 at 8 p.m. In the Florence’s game Senior Kristi Bellock scored 26 points to lead the Texas A&M women’s basketball team to a 93-46 rout of All-Star Italy on Tuesday evening inside the Palazzetto dello Sport in San Marcellino.
It was the second Aggies’ game during their tour of Italy.
“Obviously Florence is our city,” head coach Gary Blair said to the American website KBTX.
“We played very well tonight. I think our kids felt like they got off the boat wrong the other day, but give credit to the other team because they took it to us.
The difference today was in our transition game and our post players were very active. Both (Kelsey) Bone and Bellock played well as a unit. Our bench was ready when they came in and got their minutes. Coach Starkey had them ready defensively and we did a very good job. Overall, I was pleased with the effort.”
