Murder of Allison Owens, the trial begins March 16

EmergencyPietro Stefanoni, the man who hit on Oct. 2 in San Giovanni Valdarno (some of kilometers south of Florence), the twenty years old American tour guide Allison Owens while she was jogging, will be tried on 16 March in the branch section of Montevarchi Court of Arezzo.

Pietro Stefanoni will have to answer to allegations of manslaughter and wrongful death. When the incident occurred Pietro Stefanoni, 56, a native of Viterbo, resident in Incisa (Florence), was returning from a bicycle race held in Greve in Chianti. In San Giovanni Valdarno with his Volvo he hit the young Americanwho was visiting Valdarno in that days.

The girl’s body was found several days later in a canal along the regional road 69.
