The new ACF Fiorentina player Amauri helped Fiorentina beat struggling Serie A rivals Siena 2-1 on his club debut in the Tuscan derby on Sunday. “It was a great feeling, I’m pleased to be playing again,” said Amauri. Fiorentina claimed their first win at home since 4 December.

Professor Pacini dies, he was the “daddy of pulsars”
Professor Franco Pacini died this morning in Florence, Italy. Pacini was one of the greatest Italian astrophysicists, pioneer of the research on neutron stars, called “pulsars”. He has given a fundamental contribution to the realization of the LBT, Large Binocular Telescope, housed at MGIO in Arizona (USA).
