FLORENCE, ITALY – The Euro zone has been the most recent hotspot of the global economic crisis. The political and economic interdependence of European Union countries has been brought home by the crisis of the Euro.
There has even been talk of the Euro crisis leading to the dissolution of the European Union. Is the crisis viewed differently from Europe and the United States? Professor Roberto D´Alimonte of the LUISS School of Government and NYU Florence will address the complexity of the current crisis.
What impact will the crisis have on the future of the European Union? How can economic factors and political realities be reconciled? His talk will be followed by a Question & Answer session moderated by NYU Florence Professor David Travis.
“What is wrong with the Euro?” will take place September 5, 2012, 6 pm at Villa La Pietra, Florence, Italy.
