Qatar Masters, Gagli stopped by desert storm

Scotsman Paul Lawrie won with 201 strokes (69 67 65), fifteen under par, the Qatar Masters (European Tour), held at Doha Golf Club (par 72) in the capital of Qatar.  The game was suspended because of strong winds and desert storm.

The Florentine player Lorenzo Gagli, 82° – 75 (+3) in the first round, was demoted to 99th place with a “+5” at the end of 10 suffering holes, started with two birdies and four bogey. He missed the cut.

Next week the European tour will be at the Emirates GC for Omega Dubai Desert Classic from 09 Feb 2012 to 12 Feb 2012.
