A beautiful painting, an oil on canvas of sixteenth-century reproduction of the original by Raffaello, after a accurate restoration of 4 months and an investment of 15,000 euros, goes back to its glory.
The Institute of the Innocents (Istituto degli Innocenti), a traditional Florentine place for children hospitality, promotes the art with the initiative “Adopt an artwork.” This project helps the recovery of artworks from the patrimony of the institute to expose them to the Mudi, the Museum of the Innocents.
Starhotels has financed the restoration of the “Madonna of the Veil” (Madonna del Velo), which now finds its place in the museum collection of the gallery. The director of the restoration was Brunella Teodori.
