The gorgeous palazzi of Firenze will be the backdrop for the event, opening their doors and welcoming visitors into the inner cloisters, the selection being curated by the A.D.S.I. – Italian Association of Historic Homes of Florence. The focal point will be Piazza Pitti hosting the other wine capitals, their traditions and wines. In Piazza della Repubblica and Piazza Santissima Annunziata there will be wine markets open from 11 to 23. In Santissima Annunziata there will be also children’s activities, such as Vinopoli a nice game dedicated to wine.
During the 4 days there will also be music concerts and shows, workshops and conferences, as well as special exhibits and thematic dinners. Performances are a mix of actors and performers on one side and jazz musicians on the other. Courtyards will be filled with short monologues, performances, tableaux vivants, acrobatics and dance. On the music side, we are thrilled to be hosting the smooth sounds of some of the most important national and international soloists and groups.
In the Cooking Show ten chefs, each representing a province of Tuscany, will create a real spectacle of haute cuisine, cooking in front of the public in a makeshift kitchen on the top floor of San Lorenzo Market (popularly known as Central Market).
Finally, there is a moment dedicated exclusively to children. Wine Town explains the history of wine to children using the game VINOPOLI. Thanks to the presence of specialized instructors, the game allows the children to participate in various educational workshops, play multimedia games, all which are filled with action and fun.
