Marchesi Antinori come back into Chianti Classico

FLORENCE, ITALY – “Marchesi Antinori” come back  in the shareholding of Chianti Classico consortium, from which it withdrew in 1975. The prestigious company led by marquise Piero Antinori, one of the leading producers of territory with Badia a Passignano Reserve, Marchese Antinori and Pèppoli, has completed the framework of participation of members at the oldest Italian wine consortium for protection and enhancement, which now represents almost the entire production of Chianti Classico. Antinori was in fact the last major company operating in the territory not associated to the “Consorzio Vino Chianti Classico”.

No doubt they were, and partly still are, complex and turbulent years that we have all seen”.
