Bright Festival brings immersive digital art to Florence

From 17 to 19 April, 2026, Bright Festival returns to Florence with a programme focused on immersive installations, digital creativity and the intersection between art and technology.

The event will be hosted in three locations across the city — Stazione Leopolda, The Social Hub Florence and the Innovation Center of Fondazione CR Firenze — turning Florence into a temporary hub for digital experimentation and contemporary visual culture.

Immersive installations at the centre

The core of the festival will be the immersive installations set up at Stazione Leopolda, a former railway station now used as a major exhibition space.

Visitors will be able to walk through interactive environments and audiovisual works that explore the relationship between light, sound, space and emerging technologies. These installations are designed to be accessible to a broad audience, without requiring technical knowledge.

Workshops, AI and audiovisual performances

Alongside the exhibition programme, the festival will include workshops, masterclasses and talks focusing on digital design, artificial intelligence and new forms of visual communication.

The programme also features audiovisual shows and electronic music performances, reflecting the growing overlap between artistic production and digital tools.

According to the organisers, the aim is to create spaces where people can engage directly with new forms of creativity, exploring and experiencing digital culture rather than simply observing it.

Activities for children

A dedicated section will focus on younger audiences, with interactive activities designed to introduce children to the creative use of digital technologies.

The initiative is intended to promote a more conscious and hands-on approach to digital tools from an early age, combining education and play.

An international event growing in scale

Launched in 2019, Bright Festival has developed as an international platform connecting artists, designers, institutions and technology professionals.

The 2025 edition focused on artificial intelligence in art and attracted more than 7,000 participants, with over 160 hours of performances and meetings and more than 50 speakers and international guests.

This year’s edition continues that trajectory, positioning Florence as a meeting point for experimentation in digital art and innovation, while maintaining a strong public-facing and educational dimension.
