Web tourism, Tuscany wins the best reputation

FLORENCE, ITALY – Tuscany wins the best reputation among the Italian tourist destinations as revealed by the survey Digital Tourism: the web reputation of Italian regions -destinations and new sources of information of the tourist.

The survey was presented July 21, 2015, in Milan by Reputation Manager and Networklab Laboratory digital marketing University of Ancona on analysis conducted between May 2014 and May 2015, focused on the analysis of over 16 thousand web conversations in Italian (57%) and English (43%) .

The research was carried out for single name of Regions in association with the concepts related to the sphere of tourism, according to search engines (e.g. Google), consumer review sites (e.g. TripAdvisor), online travel agencies (eg. Booking), video sharing sites (e.g.: Youtube), Wikipedia and social networks (eg. Twitter).

Tuscany excels in both rankings and most of the content associated with the region refer to its strengths: the appreciation of local products and wine, the charm of the natural beauty of the area and the cultural heritage that Tuscany has, the main reason that motivates tourists to visit the region.
