Starting Friday, July 4, visitors will have a rare opportunity to experience Florence’s historic Corridoio Vasariano after dark. The Uffizi Galleries have announced special evening openings of the elevated passageway every Friday until December 26, excluding August 15.
The Vasari Corridor, which connects the Uffizi to Palazzo Pitti via Ponte Vecchio, reopened in December 2024 after eight years of restoration. This new initiative allows visitors to explore the corridor in the unique evening atmosphere, with dedicated guided tours scheduled from 7 PM to 11 PM.
Unlike regular daytime access, evening visits do not require a combined ticket with the Uffizi Gallery. Each tour lasts approximately 45 minutes and is offered in small groups, with up to ten departure times per evening: from 7:00 PM to 9:50 PM. Tickets cost €20, with reduced (€2) and free admission available according to standard eligibility rules. Reservations are required and can be made online, via call center, or at museum ticket offices during regular hours. No more than five tickets can be booked at once.
The meeting point is next to the Uffizi information desk in Piazzale degli Uffizi, beside the Loggia dei Lanzi. Visitors must arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled entry time, or they risk losing their spot. The tour ends in Piazza Pitti via the Boboli Gardens and the Rondò di Bacco exit.
This new evening schedule offers a unique way to admire one of Florence’s most fascinating architectural features in a quieter and more atmospheric setting.
