Tuscany Airports Announce New Summer Routes for Pisa and Florence

The Tuscan airport system, featuring the Pisa and Florence airports, is set to offer over 8 million seats for the Summer 2025 season, marking a 9.6% increase compared to the previous year. The announcement was made today in Florence, highlighting the expansion in air connectivity for the region. In the first three months of the year alone, passenger traffic increased by 150,000 (+10.3%), with an 8% rise in Florence and a 12% increase in Pisa.

Florence Airport Expands Its Network

For the upcoming summer season, Florence Airport will strengthen connections to key European destinations. Enhancements include increased flights to Paris (Air France), London (British Airways), Copenhagen (SAS), Munich, and Frankfurt (Air Dolomiti). New routes will also be introduced, such as Nice (operated by Air Corsica) and Alghero (Volotea). Additionally, Brussels will now be served year-round by Vueling, and Air Serbia will resume flights to Belgrade. Overall, the Florence Airport will offer direct flights to 40 destinations.

New Destinations and Increased Frequencies in Pisa

Pisa Airport will serve 78 destinations, including new routes to Sofia and Amman (Ryanair), Warsaw (WizzAir and Ryanair), and Katowice (WizzAir). London Southend (EasyJet) has also been added to the network. Additionally, major airlines will increase daily flight frequencies. Notably, flights to Barcelona (EasyJet) and Dubai (FlyDubai) will continue operating throughout the winter season as well.

With these expanded offerings, Tuscany’s airports continue to enhance connectivity, providing greater travel opportunities for both residents and visitors.
