FLORENCE, ITALY – Moto3 rider Jason Dupasquier died following yesterday’s terrible accident during testing at the Mugello circuit.
The 19-year-old Swiss had been operated on in the Careggi hospital overnight after the accident that occurred during Moto3 practice. Dupasquier had undergone thoracic surgery during the night and was admitted to intensive care.
After losing control of his bike at the exit of turn 9, the KTM rider had been hit hard by at least two other riders (the Japanese Sasaki and the Spanish Alcoba remained unharmed but shaken). The pilot was immediately transferred to Florence with the Pegaso helicopter rescue.
