FLORENCE, ITALY – The International Handicrafts Trade Fair is set to take place at the Fortezza da Basso from 23rd April to 1st May 2016. A showcase of excellence for handicraft products coming from Italy and from 50 foreign countries, this year the Fair enjoys new resources and renews its strategies.
The first certified handicrafts trade fair in Italy celebrates 80 years of activity by launching a new development model on an international scale, through incoming foreign buyers. Thanks to the economical and logistic support of ICE – the Italian Trade Promotion Agency –TWO B2B DAYS will be launched, during which a group of international sector professionals will meet a selected group of exhibitors from several craft businesses, as well as renowned high quality Italian craftsmanship, with products addressing the foreign market.
The Fair can look back on 800 exhibitors, 30% of which coming from abroad, and 140,000 visitors (figures from the 2015 edition). This year, it lengthens its stride by inviting delegations of buyers coming from the most dynamic foreign markets. A great opportunity to increase dialogue and ensure further growth and development margins to all exhibitors, who are selected by a technical committee composed of the main industry associations.
The event organisers hope that this Fair will increasingly represent an efficient way to enhance the Made in Italy brand in the world – a turning point for the Italian handicrafts export.
