Battle of Anghiari, removed the scaffolding

FLORENCE, ITALY – It returns “visible” the wall of the Salone dei Cinquecento in Palazzo Vecchio, Florence. Until yesterday, the wall was occupied by scaffolding used for the “hunt” to the lost painting by Leonardo Da Vinci, the “Battle of Anghiari.”

The Ministry of Cultural Heritage has not given permission to continue the investigation funded by National Geographic and led by Professor Maurizio Seracini. So in recent days have begun dismantling operations, which ended in the night and this morning. After months of scaffolding, tourists can now photograph the “Battle of Scannagallo” by Giorgio Vasari.
