Women-basket, Texas A&M vs All Star Italy

FLORENCE, ITALY – The Texas A&M women’s basketball team began action on its summer tour of Italy with a hard-fought, 61-57 loss to All-Star Italy on Sunday evening. Texas A&M is scheduled to play All-Star Italy again on Tuesday, Aug. 21, in Florence. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. Florence time.

The Texas A&M Aggies women’s basketball team represents Texas A&M University in NCAA Division I women’s basketball. The team has been coached by Gary Blair since 2003. The Aggies play home games at Reed Arena, a 12,989-capacity arena in College Station, Texas on the campus of Texas A&M.

The Aggies were the 2011 NCAA Division I national champions. They beat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 76-70. They have appeared in the NCAA Tournament eight times and garnered four conference championships.
