Going to extremes: new heat wave in the city

FLORENCE, ITALY – The first heat had hit Florence in recent days. The forecast of the alert system for the prevention of heat-related risks to health informs that the maximum risk is expected in the middle of the day, when the temperature will rise to 36 degrees Celsius, although the perceived temperature will be 35 degrees, because of the humidity.

The Civil Defence informs so, adding that it has set up a specific plan to provide assistance to the people between 12 pm and 4 pm, with its voluntary workers and civil servants. Extreme weather is forecasted until this week end, rains on monday.
