FLORENCE, ITALY – 35-year-old American Ashley Olsen was found slain in her apartment in Florence on Saturday January 9, 2016, Italian police said. Her neck was bruised and scratched.
For the third day in a row Italian police are continuing an investigation into the apparent murder in her central Florence apartment. An autopsy will be carried out shortly. Florence prosecutors have opened a murder investigation.
Her 43-year-old Florentine boyfriend has been questioned. Investigators have since seized the victim’s computer.
Ashley Olsen was born in Florida and lived in Italy since many years. She loved and studied art and had organized events connected to the art world.
On her social media pages, she shared many pictures of herself beside her beloved dog, Scout, showing the pair appearing to enjoy life in Florence.
