FLORENCE, ITALY – Star Wars excitement has hit stores, fashion makers, cinemas, internet and… the world of the art.
The luxury department stores in Italy has teamed up with Disney ahead of the new film “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and instead of the usual Google list of blue-fonted links against a sterile white background, the search term from the famous opening movie line summons a Star Wars style opening crawl, with the yellow-fonted links receding into space.
The Easter egg is mimicking the opening credits of the seminal 1977 film – as pretty much everyone knows, since Googling that opening line generates 435 million search results.
And that’s not all. Two Star Wars characters this morning entered in some American museums, among the general dismay. It is really the time of Star Wars mania.

An earlier version of this post referred imprecisely to the Uffizi Gallery instead of to an American museum.
