NEW YORK, USA – The Giuseppe Rossi Fan Club New York and the publishing house Mondadori have announced the release of A modo mio (My Way), a collection of personal stories by ACF Fiorentina top player Giuseppe Rossi written by Alessandra Bocci.

The book will be presented December 2 at 6:30pm at Syracuse University in Florence (Piazza Savonarola 15) at an event organized by Giuseppe’s Official Fan Club in collaboration with the university.

Only the students of Syracuse in Florence and the members of the Fiorentina New York Fan Club can attend the presentation.

My Way is a book that describes a continuous journey of one man through various countries and cultures; of an American who at the same time identifies as an Italian.  It tells of the talent and mindset, the complications and determination, the imagination and hard work of a champion who draws on a stock of metaphorical weapons in order to overcome personal misfortune.  To become stronger than injuries, stronger than pain, stronger than discouragement, stronger than ever before.

Rossi, was born in New Jersey to Italian parents, now calls Florence a second home, making him an ideal partner to join forces with Syracuse University in Florence. The Fan Club Giuseppe Rossi NY supports the academic objectives of Syracuse University in Florence and considers this collaboration an excellent opportunity for American students studying in Italy to meet our Italian-American super star.

Simone Anselmi, Fan Club Giuseppe Rossi NY’s Florence Coordinator as well as a professor of international management at Syracuse University in Florence said, “The Fan Club Guiseppe Rossi NY, which I’ve been a part of since its inception, wants to be a space for Pepito’s fans to express their passion for soccer as well as the strong ethical values that Giuseppe Rossi represents. Giuseppe is a champion who is able to bring together fans from all across the world. His message is consistent with the values of our university, such as intercultural integration, particularly between Italian and American culture.”

Sasha Perugini, Syricause University in Florence’s director expressed that this partnership “continues our mission to offer exchange opportunities through critical analysis and mature intellectual exploration, void of preconceptions.” Giuseppe Rossi, who is dedicated to spreading his message of the importance of ethics in sports, said of this event, “I am very happy about this collaboration and hope that it will act as a starting point for unifying the important work being done at Universities with the sport of soccer, which also requires great discipline.”
