FLORENCE, ITALY – Ben Harper is enjoying a year of great success, one of the best of his career. “Get Up!” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard blues chart and remained in the Top 10 for 24 consecutive weeks. In a few hours his tour will arrive in Florence, Italy.
Ben Harper will perform at the Teatro Verdi, in the city center, on Saturday, May 10 at 20.45. The date is sold out by several months.
Harper plays an eclectic mix of blues, folk, soul, reggae and rock music and is known for his guitar-playing skills, vocals, live performances and activism. Harper’s fan base spans several continents.
His albums have been commercially successful in North America, Europe and Oceania. Harper is a three-time Grammy Award winner as well, winning awards for Best Pop Instrumental Performance and Best Traditional Soul Gospel Album, in 2005. He also won a Grammy for Best Blues Album in 2014.
