The tapestries exhibition (20 March – 3 June, 2012) purposes to acquaint Uffizi Gallery goers with a precious section of its collections, one whose old and noble fame has been declining due to a decades-long absence from areas open to the public. Much more than other manufactures, tapestries are works of art relentlessly consumed by time.

A new evidence of Leonardo fresco
There ‘s another clue that would indicate traces of colorbeneath the Battle of Scannagallo of Vasari’s Palazzo Vecchio inFlorence, are the traces of the Battle of Anghiari by Leonardo da Vinci. The new evidence is explained by Maurizio Seracini, head of research at the Master’s lost painting of Vinci, on the Italian web site of the National Geographic Socieity.
Record growth for Ferragamo Group
As of 31 December 2011, the Salvatore Ferragamo Group has posted Total Revenues of 986.4 million Euros, a 26.2% increase, at current exchange rates, over the 781.6 million Euros recorded in FY 2010, showing significant growth in all geographical areas, product lines and distribution channels. Revenue growth at constant exchange rate has been 24.1%
The lost Da Vinci tonight on Nat Geo IT TV
Finding the lost da Vinci, which follows scientist and art enthusiast Maurizio Seracini as he looks for da Vinci’s The Battle of Anghiari, will show on Monday in Palazzo Vecchio. Professor Seracini will present the findings of his research at the presence of Terry Garcia, executive vice president for the National Geographic Society. On this reaearch NGTV has scheduled a special worldwide video in March.
