On 21 December, at 8.30 pm, master Zubin Mehta will conduct the Leonore Overture No. 3 in C major, Op. 72 °, by Ludwig van Beethoven, followed by the premiere of Gegenliebe (requited love) for orchestra by Bussotti. The piece was specially commissioned by the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino to witness the continued focus on contemporary music and a genius loci, which is in Bussotti.
The opening concert will continue with the Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125, for soloists, chorus and orchestra by Beethoven, performed by great artists of international renown: Anja Kampe, Stella Grigorian, Michael Schade, Juha Uusitalo. Two large brand history, tradition and excellence of Florence, have decided to link their image and their name to this important inauguration.
Gucci will attend the inauguration of the new Opera House in Florence as a Concert Partner. The continuation of the evening will be signed Ferragamo, as Partners Dinner.
The new Opera house of Florence is one of the picture postcards that Italian Post Office will issue on December 19 and who are dedicated to infrastructure projects or restoration on the occasion of 150th anniversary of Italian unification. The cards (60 cents) stamp bearing a reproduction of the Italian tricolor issued in January. One of the postcards shows the image of the project in Florence.
