The Florentines Around the World Association and the European School of Economics, in collaboration with the Assembly of Tuscans Around the World and St John’s University, is organising an exhibition entitled “Amerigo’s America – Florence and the Merchants of the New World” dedicated to Amerigo Vespucci on the anniversary of the fifth centenary of his death.

After lived in first person during the tour (later suspended) last year, the tragedy of Japan devastated by the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear contamination, the musicians of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino support the victims of the catastrophe.

Florence calls Tokyo for fashion and creativity. Pitti Uomo will be hosting a project produced in cooperation with the Tokyo Fashion Week, bringing some of the most interesting labels on the Japanese creative scene to Florence.
