Bansky at Palazzo Medici Riccardi

Palazzo Medici Riccardi hosts Bansky exhibit

FLORENCE, ITALY – The most mysterious and challenging among street artists (nobody knows his true identity), the author of some proper modern icons, comes to Florence and the choice of location for this exhibition is Palazzo Medici Riccardi: residence of the Medici and prototype of all the Renaissance palaces in Florence, it hosts from October 19 to February 24 next year the exhibition Banksy. This is not a photo opportunity.

A selection of 20 prints of the artist’s best works, some of which are very famous thanks to social media sharing: one for all the “Balloon Girl”, the kid with the red balloon that everybody knows by now.

Banksy’s graffiti often refer directly to the big issues of our times: from climate change to migration flows, to social inequalities, presented in a direct and ironic style, highlighting the paradoxes of our age.

The exhibition at Palazzo Medici Riccardi comes with information on the artist’s timeline, a wide range of photographs, original posters of his exhibits and a video selection.

Banksy. This is not a photo opportunity at Palazzo Medici Riccardi from October 19 2018 to February 24 2019.
Opening hours: 9-19, closed on Wednesday. Admission fee € 10 (exhibition and museum combined ticket)
