FLORENCE, ITALY – Finding the lost da Vinci, which follows scientist and art enthusiast Maurizio Seracini as he looks for da Vinci’s The Battle of Anghiari, will show on Sunday at 9 pm on National Geographic TV America. On Tuesday at 9 pm Finding the lost Da Vinci will be on air on National Geographic Italy.
Professor Seracini will present the findings of his research. At the press conference there will be Matteo Renzi, Mayor of Florence; Terry Garcia, executive vice president for Mission Programs for the National Geographic Society; Cristina Acidini, Superintendent of artistic and architectural heritage and professor Seracini.
Seracini has dedicated 36 years to finding the lost mural and is certain it is hidden behind a Giorgio Vasari mural at the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Italy. With five days and six holes, Seracini has one chance to prove that the painting is there. Which will be the results? On this reaearch National Geographic Television has scheduled a special worldwide video in March.
