Michael Bay Sets 6 Underground in Florence

FLORENCE, ITALY – After Ron Howard’s Inferno, the historic center of Florence is once again a film set. This time arrives “Six underground” directed by Michael Bay. Among the VIPs in town to shoot the film produced by Netflix Ryan Reynolds, husband of the beautiful actress Blake Lively.

Filming will be divided into two distinct periods, from 22nd to 31st August and from 10th to 21st September, to which the September 3rd day is added.

A good part of the historical center will be involved (in particular the area of ​​Santa Croce), San Niccolò up to viale Poggi, the lungarni up to the Vespucci Bridge, Ponte San Niccolò, Campo Marte (via Campo of Arrigo).

In the first phase the shots will be concentrated in the area between Santa Croce and San Firenze, the Lungarni, Viale Poggi, the Duomo area up to Piazza Santissima Annunziata, the Uffizi.

On September 3, the sets will be in Piazza della Repubblica, Piazza Pitti, Lungarni Torrigiani and Serristori. In the last phase, starting from 10 September, the shooting will take place in the Uffizi and Santa Croce areas, in Piazza Santa Maria Novella and in San Lorenzo, then in Piazza Goldoni, San Niccolò-viale Poggi, the area of ​​Via Tornabuoni , the Lungarni with “visits” to the Academy and the Four Season.

The production will set up three base camps in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, Lungarno della Zecca Vecchia and Piazza Ognissanti (from August 24th) which will remain operational until September 22nd.

Six Underground, produced by Eagle Picture for Netflix, are written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. The film stars are Ryan Reynolds, Mélanie Laurent, Dave Franco, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Adria Arjona, Corey Hawkins, and Ben Hardy.
